Our Story: From Pioneer to Pillar
Our journey began in 1975, when our founder, Ali Khalil, established AKA International in Canada. In 1986, he brought that international vision to Egypt, establishing a holding company for tourist villages at a time when Hurghada was just emerging.
This pioneering spirit led to some of Hurghada's most iconic landmarks:
- Iconic Beginnings: We started with the Princess Palace Club and Friendship Village, two resorts on the Mamsha that became beloved destinations for visitors and locals alike.
- A New Landmark: We followed this with the opening of AKA Duty Free. It was the largest duty-free in the Middle East and introduced a "department store" concept that had never been seen before, setting AKA above all other investors.
- Innovative Design: Connected to our duty-free, we built the Holiday Center—a unique project that was the first and one of the only buildings in Hurghada granted permission to build 9 floors.
- Residential Vision: During this time, we also began work on our second major residential property, the Al Hambra community, which remains a cornerstone of our real estate portfolio.
Our Commitment: Why We Believe in Hurghada
Our 50-year investment is built on a deep belief in Hurghada. This is not just a resort town; it's the vibrant hub of the Red Sea.
With 90% sunshine, a lively city experience, top-tier international schools (French, German, American, and British), and three universities, it is the perfect place to live, vacation, and invest. It's a calming, beautiful city to call your first or second home. We saw this potential in 1986, and our commitment to its future is stronger than ever.
